🏠 For Homeowners

  • We charge a one-off flat listing fee to get your property live on the platform. The fee is displayed on the ‘List Your Home’ page at the time of registration. Homeowners can pay a premium to be featured on the home page of the website for 2 weeks.

  • When a guest books your property through an introduction made via Event Home Rental, we charge a commission of 1% of the total agreed rental fee. For example, if you rent your home for €30,000, the commission is €300 and you keep €29,700. You manage the booking and payment directly with the guest, the guest then pays the commission to Event Home Rental separately but it comes out of the total you receive from the guest.

  • Your listing will remain live on the platform until the event you have listed for concludes. There are no recurring fees to keep your listing active.

  • Yes, absolutely. You set your own nightly or weekly rate. We may provide guide pricing based on comparable properties in your area, but ultimately the price is entirely your decision.

  • Guests will be able to view your property listing and contact you directly through the details provided. You handle all communication, agreements and payments with guests yourself. Event Home Rental is not involved in the rental transaction. All initial communication will be via the email address you submitted on setup.

  • We will, at our discretion, do a courtesy visit prior to the renters stay. We will always give reasonable advance notice if we plan to visit. This is part of our commitment to maintaining a quality platform for guests. If you do not allow us visit, we will report this back to your guest.

  • Yes. You can update your listing details, photos, pricing and availability at any time by contacting us at info@eventhomerental.ie.

  • If you choose to pay to be featured on the homepage for one week, you can pay the higher of the two amounts when you make your booking. Once you have been featured on the homepage payments are non-refundable.

  • We advise requesting a photo ID from the lead booker in advance should any issues of damage need to be reported to the local police.

🔑 For Guests

  • Contact the homeowner directly using the contact details on their listing. Agree the terms of your rental with them, then pay a holding deposit — we advise 10% of the total rental fee — directly to the homeowner to secure your booking.

  • Event Home Rental is an introduction platform. We connect guests with homeowners but we are not a party to any rental agreement. All bookings, payments and arrangements are made directly between you and the homeowner, except for the 0.75% commission.

  • Once you have agreed a rental with a homeowner, please notify us of the arrangement. A fee of 1% of the total rental fee is payable to Event Home Rental. For example, on a €30,000 rental this is €300. This fee covers the cost of the platform, our courtesy visit, and ongoing support. This fee is deductable from the overall agreed fee so you don’t pay more than you agree with the homeowner

  • All listing details, descriptions and images are provided by homeowners. We do our best to maintain quality standards on the platform, but we recommend contacting the homeowner directly to verify any specific details before committing to a booking. Most homeowners are happy to provide additional photos and information on request.

  • In the unlikely event of a cancellation or postponement, any refund arrangements are a matter between you and the homeowner. Event Home Rental cannot be held responsible for the cancellation of any event. We strongly recommend that guests take out appropriate travel insurance to protect their booking.

  • All homeowners register with us and agree to our Terms and Conditions confirming their details are accurate. We also do a courtesy visit prior to the event. However, we always recommend communicating directly with the homeowner and never transferring large sums of money without doing your own due diligence and having a clear written agreement in place.

  • Contact us at info@eventhomerental.ie and we will do our best to assist. While we are not a party to rental agreements, we take the quality and integrity of our platform seriously and will investigate any concerns raised.
